Hamee Corp. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) conducts an e-commerce business, a merchandise sales business, and an EC systems business. The Company has established this Personal Information Protection Policy as a standard of conduct to be observed by all employees of the Company and the Company will ensure all of its employees comply with this Personal Information Protection Policy so that all personal information is appropriately handled when used for the business of the Company.

  1. The Company will develop and properly operate a personal information protection management system that conforms with Japanese Industrial Standards “Personal information protection management systems – Requirements” (JIS Q 15001) for the purpose of compliance with laws and regulations, guidelines established by the state, and other standards related to the handling of personal information.
  2. The Company will obtain, use, and provide appropriate personal information in consideration of the contents and scale of its business. That includes the fact that the Company will not handle personal information beyond the extent necessary to achieve a specified purpose of use and that the Company will take measures for that purpose.
  3. If the Company delegates all or part of the handling of personal information, it will conduct necessary and appropriate supervision of the person that undertakes that handling of personal information to ensure the safety management of the personal information whose handling has been delegated.
  4. The Company will not provide personal information to a third party without the consent of the subject person or unless that is based on a law or regulation.
  5. The Company will take measures to prevent and rectify any leak, loss, or damage to personal information.
  6. The Company will endeavor to appropriately and promptly respond to any complaint or consultation regarding the handling of personal information. The Company will also accept requests for disclosure, etc. of personal information that is subject to disclosure retained by the Company (notices of purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, or suspension of use or provision).   7. The Company will continuously improve the personal information protection management system.

Policy on Handling of Personal Information

This Policy on Handling of Personal Information explains how the Company collects and uses personal information regarding the Users (meaning information that can identify the User) when the Users use the Dozenz Internet service (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) for smartphones operated by Hamee Corp. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”).

If the User does not consent to this Policy on Handling of Personal Information, that User may not access or use the Service.

If the User accesses or uses the Service, it will be deemed that that User has consented to this Policy on Handling of Personal Information.

This Policy of Handling of Personal Information might be amended at any time, so it is recommended that when using the Service, the User always check the latest information and how to protect his or her privacy.

Information Collected from Users

The Company collects acquired information when the User conducts the following activities in connection with the Service:

  • When creating an account for the Service
  • When uploading User Contents to the Service
  • When using customer support for the Service
  • When otherwise communicating with the Service

The following acquired information is collected by the Company:

  • Telephone numbers
  • Information available from Facebook Login
    The User’s email address, name, nickname, gender, date of birth, profile picture, Facebook ID, Facebook friend information, and other information publicly available on Facebook, and information that can be obtained by the Company with the permission of the User
  • Information contained in User Contents that are uploaded to the Service
    Information contained in movies, images, comments, etc. taken or posted by the User
  • Information from devices that use the Service
    Information regarding a device used by the User such as the type of device, operating system and version of that operating system, unique device identifier, and language setting
  • Communication information between a device and the Service
    Information such as dates and times the Service is accessed, the User's IP address, contents of communications, and the mobile operator used by the User for communications
  • Location information
    Information on the User’s current location
  • Cookies and similar technology
    The Service might specify the User’s device using Cookies or similar technology

The Company processes acquired information it has collected by transferring that to the United States and Japan.
The User consents to the fact that acquired information collected by the Company from the User in connection with the Service will be transferred to the United States and Japan and processed in accordance with this Policy on Handling of Personal Information.

Purpose of Use of Acquired Information

The Company uses acquired information it has collected from the User for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service
  • To provide new functions in the Service
  • To provide customer service to respond to comments, questions, and requests by the User
  • To provide notifications and information regarding the Service to the User
  • To research and analyze the use and trends of the Service
  • To discover, examine, and prevent improper or unlawful use of the Service
  • Any other purpose related to the above
  • To collect statistically processed information and publicize it as research results

Changes to the Purpose of Use

The Company might change the purpose of use of acquired information to the extent that it is reasonably considered that there is a reasonable correlation, and if the Company changes the purpose of use, it will notify the User or publicize that change.

Management of Acquired Information

Each person engaged in the business of managing and using acquired information at the Company will endeavor to carry out his or her work while strictly managing the acquired information of the User and exercising due care when handling personal information to ensure there is no unauthorized access, loss, leak, alteration, etc. of personal information.

Delegation of Acquired Information and Personal Information

The Company might delegate the handling of acquired information collected from the User to a third party.
The Company might delegate the handling of personal information. If the Company delegates the handling of personal information, it will conduct necessary and appropriate supervision of the person that undertakes that handling of personal information to ensure the safety management of the personal information whose handling has been delegated.

Joint Use of Personal Information

The Company might jointly use personal information handled in the Service with a group company for the purpose of providing the Service.
The Company will endeavor with each group company to strictly manage and prevent any leak of jointly used personal information.

Provision of Acquired Information to Third Parties

The Company will not provide acquired information collected from the User to a third party except for the following cases:

  • If that provision is based on laws or regulations
  • If it is necessary to provide information to resolve a dispute of a User of the Service or a third party or to protect the rights or interests of a User of the Service or a third party, and the Company determines that it is difficult to obtain the consent of the User
  • If acquired information is provided to a third party that conducts research and analyses on behalf of the Company for the purpose of researching and analyzing matters such as the status of use of the Service
  • If acquired information is provided to deliver or display a third-party advertisement
  • If a business of the Company is to be assumed through a merger or another reason and acquired information is provided to the person to assume that business
  • If the Company otherwise determines that it is necessary to provide information to a third party and that information is provided with the consent of the User
